Role Overview

The Electrical Engineer (EE) will be playing a key role in supporting hardware and software engineering teams to advance and develop products for the ICT market segments. We are seeking a highly skilled EE to contribute to the definition of hardware and software architectures, implement electrical circuits, develop firmware for control logics and prepare product specifications. The EE will report to the Chief Innovation Officer (CIO) and will be required to work on-site at SEGUENTE’s corporate headquarters, located in Melbourne, Florida.

Objectives of this Role
  •  Lead the design, development and implementation of electrical circuits and control system logic for hardware products.
  •  Define product specifications and manage product-related documents.
  •  Collaborate within cross-functional teams to deliver products and services to customers and create new business opportunities.
  •  Support and execute new development initiatives and programs to favorably position the product portfolio against competitors in the market.
Responsibilities
  •  Play a key role in the hardware and software engineering team to enhance product functionalities and efficiency, while expanding current IP portfolio.
  •  Be responsible for interfacing software platforms with physical layers, including IT hardware, IOT devices and facility-level infrastructure.
  •  Collaborate with software development team to ensure seamless dataflow throughout the stack from physical layers to application layers.
  •  Show proven capability to work in a matrix mode, meaning a strong skillset of collaboration, communication, openness, transparency and willingness to contribute to joint success.
Skills and Qualifications
  •  A master’s degree, or other specialized training, in electrical engineering or related fields.
  •  Experience with full product development cycle bringing concept to product at a rapid pace.
  •  Proficiency in analog and digital circuit simulations (SPICE) and design tools (KiCad, Eagle, Altium).
  •  Proficiency in firmware development in various platforms (STM32, ESP32, PIC32, MSP430, Arduino or equivalent).
  •  In-depth knowledge in control logic design and implementation.
  •  Experience with various data transfer protocols in building automation (Modbus, BACnet, 4-20 mA) and IT equipment (SNMP, IPMI, Redfish).
  •  Proficiency in firmware development (C, C++, Python, Rust, Java).
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  •  A Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering or related fields.
  •  Knowledge of IT equipment and infrastructures, including power and thermal management systems, such as direct-to-chip and immersion cooling implementations.
  •  Proficiency in software development and data analysis (Python, Javascript, Go, Rust)
  •  Experience with managing fast paced productization pipeline, including prototyping, design for manufacturing, certification and testing, release management and life cycle management
  •  Experience with power electronic system, including design, installation and maintenance.
  •  Experience with high-precision measurement techniques, automation, instrument calibrations and validations, as well as data processing.
  •  Knowledge of server and network equipment architectures, provisioning and maintenance.
